Kapas Biru Waterfall
Kapas Biru Waterfall is located in Pronojiwo Village, Lumajang Regency, East Java. This waterfall is famous for its stunning stream that falls from a cliff about 100 meters high. The water creates a soft white mist that looks like blue cotton, which inspired its name “Kapas Biru.” To reach the site, visitors must trek about 1.5 kilometers down a lush valley. The trail passes through tropical forest, small rivers, and rocky paths, making the journey both challenging and exciting.
When visitors arrive, they are greeted by a breathtaking view of crystal-clear water surrounded by dense greenery. The sunlight reflects off the water, creating a magical blue hue. The cool air, the sound of rushing water, and the chirping birds make the place peaceful and refreshing. Moreover, large rocks in front of the waterfall offer great spots for photos. Many travelers also enjoy dipping their feet or swimming in the natural pool below.
Kapas Biru Waterfall is perfect for adventure seekers and landscape photographers. Furthermore, its location is close to other popular waterfalls such as Tumpak Sewu and Kabut Pelangi. Because of this, it is often included in nature and trekking tour packages in the Pronojiwo area. The best time to visit is during the dry season, when the trails are safer and the waterfall shines with its brightest blue color.
